Air dodges work pretty well. And you can usually survive one hit from it.

Not in my experiences.  You can only survive the third hit.  Air Dodges should only be used by falling off the ledge with a character who can get back on, since otherwise you won't get a third off in time before you hit the ground.

Once I dodged all of the waves with it. I jump, dodge, fall, jump dodge, fall, jump, dodge fall. Or I use my sheild on the last one.

But wouldn't it be easier to time by just shield dodging?  The Off-Waves are pretty much one of the few attacks that are easier to shield dodge then Air-Dodge.  When you have your shield up, you can time it easier then in the air.  Normally, doing it in the air is quicker, but here, where the waves kill you instantly, quicker doesn't matter.

Yeah, step-dodging is much easier. (Shield and hit down)

With air dodging lasts longer which can really mess with your timing. I've not been able to do it that way.

I read around some other sites yesterday, looking for a good character to beat Boss Battles on Intense with.  From what I gathered, some people liked plowing their way through with Charizard using Rock Smash.  I decided to try that out.
IT WORKED!
Now I can pretty much officially boast that I am the first one here to beat Boss Battles on Intense.  Rock Smash owns all of them except Tabuu (at least, normally anyways.  When he's giant and firing his eye lasers, on the other hand...), but you have to be careful.  Rayquaza will beat you if you don't take the proper caution, Galleom will one-hit kill you while you're doing it if you're not careful, and Duon will easily kill you if you enter his fight with about 50% or more.  Porky can be difficult using the Rock Smash strategy, but he's a big target, so you can kill him before he gets off his energy ball laser move.  The rest are easy.
Rock Smash is so good against bosses because of the debris that comes from the rock.  All the bosses except Tabuu are too big to dodge the debris, and even Tabuu is when he starts using his eye lasers and grows huge.
Even with that, though, it's pretty difficult.  Remember that if you decide to do the Rock Smash thing, Charizard is terrible at dodging while he's doing the move.  You want to hit the enemy so that you leave yourself time to dodge.  You also want to hope that you get any boss but Rayquaza and Duon 9th, since those will kill you in those positions.

I thought about using Charizard, since he's awesome at killing the SSE bad guys, but I never got around to it.

Nice job!

I used rock smash to get my homerun record. Does a lot of damage! Yesterday a got to Tabuu with 0% damage with DK! I even took a screenshot for proof. I died though. I couldn't dodge the last wave.

I tried again this morning. Got to Tabuu with 153% and 1 hear left. I was at the tip of the little entrance thing and it made me go in when I tried to jump over. I died and never got that heart.

To make yourself go faster with Charizard, dash and jump when you near most of the bosses so you're pretty much garunteed to get close enough to hit.  The exceptions are Petey Piranha (you want to hit the cages, so you want to dash, run away, then dash in again when he's stationary.  Rinse and repeat.), Porky (for Porky your best way to kill him is to stand right next to him.  He doesn't move that often, fortunately), and to some extent, Tabuu.

One thing to note about Charizard, is that he is immune to all damage while you are switching pokemon, and it lasts about the same amount of time as it takes for Tabuu's butterfly waves to pass you.

That's great advice, though I haven't tried it.  Still, nothing is easier for me than shield dodging the Off-Waves (that's what the site calls the "buttefly waves", so that's what I'm referring to the attack by from now on).  I can usually shield dodge it easily.
The even better thing is that now since I only have one Boss Trophy left until I have all of them (Meta-Ridley.  Darn you, 2:00 time limit...), I'll never have to see Tabuu again.  Unless I'm mining for coins, of course, since you can beat him relatively easily once you can dodge his Off-Waves and Golden Brackets.
