Use Pit, with his abilities, he is by far the best character for boss battles. One thing to note for this is you won't be going for speed, but safety. I won't bother with Master Hand, Crazy Hand, or Petey Pirahna as their quite easy. Rayquaza was mostly covered by Bloody, so I won't do him either, though I will emphasize that if you see him circle in the air or his eyes glow, shield immediately, and his electric charage shots are reflectable. Same thing with Tabuu (just watch out for his golden cage and big arrow attacks. Also when he does his butterfly attack, move towards the edges of the platform to give yourself more room).
Galleom: Your arrows do quite a bit of damage to him, so your best, safest bet is to stay at the opposite end of the screen spamming arrows. Jump whenever you see him ready his missiles or dash attack, and the only attack that really has a chance to hit you is his his multi mini jumps. You have plenty of time to prepare for this, so as soon as you see him do those mini jumps, jump and do all your midair jumps (moving slightly back all the while to make it harder for him to hit you), then use your up air speacial and steer over his head.
Duon: Funny thing is, with Pit, I actually think this guy is one of the easiest. Like Galleom, you want to spend the battle at the opposite side of the screen, spamming arrows. Though I won't bother with most of blueside's attacks, as they will rarely come into play with this strategy, and the spin attack only happens when you fail to get past the dash attack fast enough, I will tell you how to deal with their attacks:
Dash attack: Duon ducks to the ground, then dashes across the platform. Very easy to dodge, just jump back off the platform, jump a few more times, then use your up special to fly over Duon. Don't take to long, as he often follows up with a spin attack if you're too close, and be prepare to jump again, as he will sometime dash again almost immediately.
Triple slash: The Blue side will move VERY slowly and when he reaches you, does a triple slash. Just move forward and shield roll back when he reaches you, or jump back off the platform until his attack is over.
Jump: Duon ducks, then jumps. Jump backwards off the platform until his jump is complete. He moves back to position rather slowly, so you can also use this opprotunity to get in a couple air attacks.
Rapid fire: The pink side moves his (her?) arm down and starts firing in one of two ways, a rapid spread covering a wide area (which won't even come close to hitting you, if you're at the other end of the platform), or a multi shot over a small area. In either case when you see him readying this attack, use your v+b reflector (they do quite a bit of damage if you succeed in reflecting one back at the enemy).
Head Laser: This attack is fast and comes without warning, and thus is very hard to avoid. Your only real choice is to grit your teeth and hope he doesn't use this attack too much.
Cluster Bombs: The blue side tucks his arm and launches some bombs. They fly slowly, and might not even reach you at the other side of the platform. If you want to be absolutely safe, just jump back off the platform.
Porky: A very hard boss; I would recommend spending much of this batlle like the previous two, staying away and spamming arrows. I won't bother with most of his attacks, as they are easily avoided, but here is how I would suggest to beat his more effective attacks:
Electric Ball Beam: As Bloody said, almost impossible to dodge. Don't bother trying to avoid the Electric Ball Beam. When you see him do this, run as far away from him as possible, and hold the shield button. Yes, this will cause your shield to break, but you will take no damage. Fortunately, Porky does two things to help you here. 1) He almost waits long enough before attacking, and 2) he almost always follows up with a jump attack, and because it has limited range, it will often not go far enough to hit you (provided he did not use this attack in the middle of the screen).
Thunder from above: When you see porky fly up, simply wait untill he's above you, then start shield rolling back and forth. You shouldn't get hit.
Suicide Bombers: These little guys are affected by your arrows, so if there's enough distance between you and them, you can fire off a couple arrows to thin their numbers, otherwise just do a couple air jumps as they pass under you.
Ridley: He is similar to Master Hand, but with major differences. Most of his attacks are fairly standard, however there is one attack I'd like to point out:
Drop Prep: Ridley will drop to the ground and do one of two attacks. If you see a cinemantic like Master Hand's Fist attack, Jump up into the air, and when he is about to reach you, dodge (unlike Master Hand's attack, he homes in on your position). If you don't see this cinematic, move as far to the other side of the platform as you can in a second and then hold the shield button. When you see Ridley dash across the screen, dodge (this attack also homes in on you, so you are best off on the ground, where if you miss the dodge, he will hit your shield and you will take no damage).
Meta-Ridley: With Pit, this battle is actually much easier than his regular version. Like Bloody suggested, attack him mostly between his attacks (you get about 4-5 seconds at a time to do so), and whenever Meta Ridley Flies up or back jump up and use your air jumps and ^+b as needed to stay in the air until the attack is over. The exception to this is when you see him roar and move up slightly, as that means he's going to take a diving swoop at the ship, duck when you see this and he shouldn't hit you. You can take swipes at him while he is using his missile or Fireball attacks, but it can be rather risky.
All right, that's what I've got for now, I hope it helps.

I agree with pretty much all of this (now to actually try variations of this out with R.O.B.), but I would like to point out a few things:
First, with Porky. One thing to note about his jump attack is that when he uses it, HE NEVER ENDS UP WHERE HE WAS WHEN HE USED IT. If you're attacking him when he uses it, just stand where he was when he used it and he'll never hit you. The suicide Porky attack dodging strategy, however, I don't really like (at least with R.O.B.). It you do small hops, you risk mis-timing it and getting hit by an explosion. An alternate strategy is to stand in the air the whole attack and not only will you be able to dodge all the suicide mini-Porkys, you'll be able to damage Porky if you have a character that can stay in the air long enough since he really doesn't use another attack while doing it, but I'm guessing that either one works.
About the Drop-Prep thing, Firemaster got the first one right, but the second thing is WRONG (I think. I know his attacks, but Firemaster may be referring to the attacks differently than I do). Ridley DOES use the second attack as described, but the pre-animation is not the same one as the diving attack (Firemaster calls it the fist attack, but it looks more like a dive to me. He dives from the background to hit you, which is extremely similar to a certain move from a very special hand...). Another way to dodge the first attack (the diving one), by the way, is to simply stay in mid-air as long as possible. If you have a character with a long flying capability like R.O.B.'s Up-B move, you can simply use that and Ridley misses you every time. The second one is just a simple ground pound. It's kind of similar to the move that Master Hand does when he floats above you with his hand in a fist and attempts to slam into you, but he does it off-screen. To dodge it, simply get the heck away from where you were when he went off-screen, since that's where he targets. Then, when he slams down, that's your cue to slam him with your favorite ranged attacks.
As for the dash, the pre-animation has him turning around and going off-screen. Besides the shield roll, I've also had sucess using a jump and then an air dodge as he comes charging by. Time it right (which is easy) and he'll completely miss you.
If you don't have a ranged character, you are SCREWED. Duon will simply beat you to a bloody pulp, and so will Porky. If you're using an entirely melee character against Duon, your best bet is to stay far, far away from him and risk getting hit by the missiles to ram them into Duon. If you suceed, you can simply retreat and do it again. If it fails... well, you won't be alive long enough to blame me for giving you bad advice. _________________ This space for rent.
heres a little tid-bit for anyone else trying to do this thing.
Young Link = Pogo Stick
Pogo Stick = Getting me all the way to Tabuu only using one heart. Of course I died miserably there and turned my game off.
Another Tip: Fox's reflector (and probably Wolf and Falco's) can reflect MetaRidly's spread shots and they deal major damage to himself. I reflected three of those little things and killed him!
Ok, I'm doing well with Fox. I can beat the hands, petey, and Duon without taking any hits. Sometimes MetaRidly. But I keep getting killed by accident. Like I'll be running away from a stomp, and I'll trip...
DAMNIT! The minute I finished typing that, I continued playing and got stomped by metaridly! How does that happen?
You're spelling Meta-Ridley wrong.
I need to ditch my more offensive approach for Intense. It keeps on killing me one way or another. _________________ This space for rent.
Yeah, I mixed up Ridley's attacks. If you don't see the 'swoop' animation, it means he's going to drop back onto the ground after a couple seconds. Just wait a half second after you see no animation and start running, and it should miss you.
One thing to note is that I wrote these strategies with using Pit (who after continueing to use him, will contend even more that he is the best one for boss battles) in mind, so if you're using a different character, then of course some of the strategies will not work. One thing that definately will apply to every character is letting your shield break against Porky's Electro Ball. I have never gotten hurt doing this, unless he was one of the last bosses to appear and he followed up with Thunder from Above (In which case he flies over to you very quickly. That's another thing I'd like to note. In the hundred or so times I've faced this attack, he has never followed up Electro Ball with anything other than a jump or Thunder from Above).
As for my progress, I keep just barely not beating Very Hard. I beat the first 9 bosses very easily (almost always using no more than 2 hearts), but once I fight Tabuu, I keep messing up on the timing for the Butterfly or cage attacks. It is very frustrating.
I'm sure it is frustrating. It would be very annoying to get killed by those moves.
I'm not sure about this, but I think you can dodge Tabuu's cage attack by air-dodging. As for the butterfly attack, practice makes perfect. _________________ This space for rent.
Some notes on Intense (I haven't beaten it yet, but I'm working on it now that I only have two challenges left, including that one):
The first thing to realize is that the bosses move as fast as they did on the following:
All difficulties in Subspace Emissary
For Master and Crazy Hand, Intense on Classic
In other words, they are far faster. Luck is key here more than ever here, as the bosses have damage increases added on to their attacks the later you face them, with the second to last (in other words, ninth) position doing the most. The bosses you DO NOT want to get 9th are:
Porky
Duon
Rayquaza
Now, I know what you're thinking about that last one. "Rayquaza? He's extremely easy! What are you talking about?"
On Intense, it can actually be difficult to dodge his attacks due to the sheer speed he moves at. The main problem is that even though you deal most of your damage by attacking him in the head (in the process using arieals), most of his attacks start at the head. Thus, you have to be very quick on the Air-Dodge button to dodge his attacks on Intense, despite the fact that on all other difficulties he gives you enough time to dodge. Facing him ninth is suicide because of that. Porky has been well discussed, so I won't go over him. Duon no longer moves extremely slow when he's moving up to attack, so you have to be very quick about your dodging. _________________ This space for rent.
I got sort of close. I used DK. His down B is devastating! Ridley and Meta Ridley were hard since they are airborne. After many tries I got to Tabuu. I had no hearts left and 96% damage. Yes, I lost. He is hard because he teloports very quickly. _________________
I've played enough to the point where I can get to Tabuu with Fox using only one heart, right before him. But I cant dodge the butterfly thing anymore.

Air dodges work pretty well. And you can usually survive one hit from it. _________________
