The problem is with me that my Wi-Fi isn't working just quite yet. Turns out my Wii which is all the way downstairs can't acess our internet. But still, I'll find a way to get it up. Nintendo does have something that allows you to connect with a Wired Connection, after all. Just have to get that. I'll try to get it as soon as possible. | ||||||||||

If my match comes before next Saturday (which I'll hopefully have my Wii Lan Adapter by then), then I'll have to forfeit. For that reason, I request that my match be last. If it takes us three more days to get courses and items finalized, and then assuming that we have back-to-back matches, then my match will fall on Sunday. Don't go out of your way though to include me. Like I said, if mine comes before Saturday and I don't have the Lan Adapter, then I'll have to forfeit.
Why? Because I'm going somewhere this week (in other words, Chicago) and don't have my online up yet. I get back on either Friday or Saturday, but I definately know I'll be back by the latter. So sorry, guys. Edit: Yeah, somehow I don't think I'll be getting the LAN Adapter anytime soon, so that means that I'm most likely out. I'll bow out now. Really sorry, guys. I wanted to join this, but life got in the way.
On the plus side, I'm free, so if replays were saved of the matches, maybe I could do battle reports... |

In that case, then, I probably will be able to get the online up before my matchup. I was working under the impression it would get started a lot sooner, though. In either case, I hope that I get a matchup last so I have a chance of getting it up. Don't worry about me much, though. I shouldn't be delaying you from doing this. I guess I'll join after all at this rate, though. Again, sorry.
Plus, don't you have to plug the Wifi USB Connector into a computer? If not, I can use it (and get lag in the process, though...), but if yes, that won't work. And if you're really wondering, you can ignore the last post's edit for now if the stages/items takes a week like Meta said, as well as having a day or two for matchups. |

This looks like a good setup. For the last part of the tournament (CM), instead of 1 on 1 on 1 we could do something like this: ~Match 1:Player A vs. Player B. ~Match 2:Player A vs. Player C. ~Match 3:Player B vs. Player C. Then we could just count the number of victories for each player. Whoever gets the most is the champion. If there is a tie between two players, they do another match. This would prevent the problem of two players ganging up on one player. |

If you want to randomly assign matches to players instead of manually choosing them, you can use a random number generator like this one. Make sure you are using the Sequence Generator. Then you just pair up the adjacent numbers (ex: if the sequence is 5, 4, 6, 3, 2, 1 then 5 would fight 4 and 6 would fight 3, etc.). People would need to be given team numbers in order for this to work.
Think of the ban lists like an art form. We are all painting beautiful scenes on the Canvas of Contribution. When we are done we will frame it upon the highest display stand in the museum that we all know as a tournament. |

Any News on the next Tournament. I really want to get this going so we can not only play,but so we can make improvements on how it ran and other things. I am wondering what we can do about Lag time. It seems like the Lag could really screw up a games. I had a couple games with MetaKnight where I had to just quit because his connection to me was lost.
This worries me a bit.

Orange Madnik Shades Fan MetaNite Dartheyegouger Red Trav Moorific Unknown (haven't played against) Johnny Amish Burrito Lord Pyre Firemaster I used to have a couple of green connections, but now they're all orange and red. I know Madnik used to be green. Apparently Shades Fan has a good connection with me but I have a bad connection with him.
Also, keep in mind that even if you match people up in the preliminary rounds, warm and cool colors will have to fight each other eventually. |

Doh! I paired the brothers up. I had to make Bloody and Pyre together, because they may unfortunately not make it to the tourney. Edited matchup list:
Meta vs. Jason Shades Fan vs. Fayt MAD vs. Trav Patter007 vs. Monky Drkwf vs. Johnny Bloody vs. Lord Pyre I also may have not done so well with the lag on some. I didn't really know for most. If you didn't register your opponent yet, you should do so. As for when the matches will be. It can be anytime, before next Friday. You can PM your opponent and ask if they're ready. But, make sure one of you saves their maps and sends it to either me or johnny. Post here when your match is finished. Good luck!

When you said this, did you mean Friday May 2 (tomorrow) or Friday May 9? The word "next" makes me think it is May 9, but I know some people use the word "next" to indicate the soonest day (which doesn't make sense to me at all). I'm still waiting for Pattar's response. I'm ready whenever he is. If tomorrow is the last day... I'm doomed.

I was able to contact Pattar a few days ago. However, he was only able to be on Saturday or Sunday morning. I wasn't able to be on during those mornings. And, if he happens to be in the eastern time zone, a morning for him would be extremely early for me. We're trying to find a time where we can actually play. | ||||||||||

If everyone was as excited and crazy when Brawl came out and playing it a ton... this tournament would probably be no problem at all...
T_T maybe HeroBrawlers is a failed experiment... at least on the tournament part (which it was pretty much made for, right? I think that's what I heard a few times from somewhere...) but it has succeeded in many other things! It's a great place to talk and chat about Brawl, and some other Nintendo games (like Mario Kart Wii). It's also a nice place to hang out and joke around with people you know and stuff! This will be a lame tournament though... and not really fighting anyone we haven't fought before... and only 4 people... this sucks. I was really hoping it would work, but it seems now that the excitement of Brawl has died down, not much people are playing as much anymore. |

I'm telling you, if you have DS wifi (which you do, since I played you yesterday), then you should have Wii wifi. A USB connecter works with both, a wireless router works with both too (however it took me awhile to get it working), and I don't think there's anything else. |

It's more complicated then that. I wasn't using the Wi-Fi USB Connector, as it didn't work. I quite literally had to walk from the 2nd floor of the house to the first, sit RIGHT NEXT TO my router, and THEN go on Wi-Fi. Now, you can't move a Wii for obvious reasons, so yeah... my Wii happens to be in the basement. | ||||||||||
