Does anyne play LOZ:Twilight Princess?

If so, how far are you in it?
Lord Pyre

I beat that in about 4 months, I think. I got it about two weeks after it came out.
Sup3rS0n1c

yea, me to ut i still havent got all of th pesky herat peices yet...
Elffy

Dude, are you serious?  It took you that long?  I've beaten it twice and I got it in November.  It took maybe 3 weeks, with no book.  2 weeks with it.
Heroic Monkey

It took me a few months as well. I don't rush through games, and I don't play games all the time.
Lord Pyre

I play mostly on weekends, and usually only for an hour or two.

I has a life!
MadNik

I bought the gamecube version around the week it came out.
Decent gameplay, great graphics, interesting story.
Too easy.
It takes a while yeah, but what you're doing isn't difficult.
Wonderful bosses, quite epic-looking, but far too simple.
So on a scale of one to ten, I'd personally give it a seven.
Then I got the Wii version as a gift for christmas, I still haven't opened it.

I heard a rumor that "In order to appeal to a larger audience", the Legend of Zelda games are going to made even easier than Twilight Princess.  Apparently the "casual gamer" (and by that, they refer to ten year olds and their soccer moms) still complain about how hard the Zelda franchise is, so Nintendo is lowering the difficulty level yet again.

Now, I would classify myself as an average gamer.  I don't get too excited over new releases (Brawl = exception), I don't buy every consol that comes out, and I don't spend hours upon hours playing a game.
But when I spend $50 on a new Zelda game, I want to play a game thats going to KICK MY ASS.
Ask Wolfen, he knows I can't stand bosses that are too easy.  I like the boss battles that take a week to figure out how to beat, then another two weeks actually accomplishing it.

So if Nintendo lowers the difficulty level yet again for the Zelda franchise, I will not purchase it.  No matter how great it looks, I'm not spending my money and time on it.

I forsee a Zelda spinoff in which you play as Ganon.

What??!!   Good grief! I personally had a lot of fun playing Zelda TP, but it was definitely easier than the other ones. It doesn't need to be any easier. I'm getting annoyed at this casual stuff. It seems like a lot of game players complain if games can not be mastered in two minutes. Why would you want to play a game that can mastered in two minutes?

It kind of reminds me about how my dad has so much trouble jumping to ledges in Metroid Prime 3. It's hilarious to watch.

Worst. Zelda. Ever.

I'll leave it at that.

Ehhh...
I might have to agree with that, but I'm not entirely sure.
Again, I rather enjoyed the storyline.
Especially the little quirk that Ganon uses that "Sword of light" or whatever its called.

I liked it better than A Link to the Past.

And I'm sure that's saying something.
Elffy

When you say that, are you referring to someone called "Bongo-Bongo?"
Hardest.  Boss.  Ever.  The temple itself was simple, but the boss was hard.  I'd say that Water Temple was the hardest one to get through, but the boss was pretty easy.  Ocarina of Time = Best LoZ ever.  Majora's Mask = #2.  Everything else just isn't that great.  Although, "Four Swords Adventure" for Gamecube?  WORST LoZ GAME YET.  It was terrible, IMO.  TP was much better.

*shakes head*

I pity you. Not only because you have such terrible taste, but because eternal damnation awaits for those who prefer TP to ALttP.

As for Four Swords Adventure - yeah, it wasn't very good, but it was a spinoff, so it doesn't count. Like the CD-i games. Which we should all forget about.
Lord Pyre

Sorry, but I found LttP pretty tedious. Half of those items I had no clue where to get without spending hours searching the entire map. I still don't have one of those medallions, even with using walkthroughs.
Sup3rS0n1c

once again, another topic with a ton of new posts in just a week. wow, and IM the one with no life*cough*Ellfy*cough*!
Edit:i mean Elffy sorry for the misspelling
Elffy

What?  Dude, wtf.  I'm not doing anything to you.  Just because I'm on here doesn't mean I have no life.  I'm not the one walking around making random topics and spamming this place.  Geez.  If you wanna make fun of me, PM me.
Sup3rS0n1c
